Welcome to GAWD Productions

Ahhh.. there we are... 2010. Hard to believe, this is our 10th year in business. And, as every year, January came in with a bang - work wise. I'm not sure if it has something to do with advertising budgets for the year coming out, or if everyone is just gung-ho after the holidays. Either way, with our current work load there just aren't enough hours in the day...

Personally, I'm still in recovery mode after the massive amounts of food and the limited sleep that seems to go hand-in-hand with the holidays. But, the beginning of a new year is always a time to renew one's ambitions and focus. One of my business contacts recently suggested some new year's resolutions for businesses and I quite agree:

1. Develop a great online presence. Update, refresh or generate a website. Most people today search for businesses and services on the web. If you're not there or your site is not as appealing as your competitor, you are losing business.

2. Go Green. Today's business community and consumers are looking for a greener approach to business. The little extra things you do to reduce your environmental impact won't go unnoticed.

3. Differentiate yourself with great customer service. As a small business, the large corporations can't compete with you on service. Make this aspect of your business priority in 2010.

4. Enjoy your business. The # 1 reason people develop their own business is the enjoyment of doing what they want to do. If your businesses is not providing that emotional reward, think back about what you wanted to do with your businesses when you started. It's time to rethink, refocus and re-energize your business.
