Joomla 2.5 Released


So, this is the first time that the 'one-click-update' has actually worked for me. Very relieved I am, indeed. This is a security release, addressing vulnerabilities discovered in Joomla 1.7. I strongly advise any Joomla CMS site owners to take the plunge and update/upgrade as needed.

2nd Joomla Migration Project

Oh, how I love good news! Our second Joomla 1.5 - 1.7 migration project is complete and went rather well, all in all. A few issues with duplicate titles, etc. but nothing that can't be fixed relatively quickly.

Migrating to Joomla 1.7

 

Well, if you decide to run any kind of software on (or as) your website, you ought to keep up with upgrades, patches, etc. We just went through the migration from Joomla 1.5 to 1.7 and lemme tell ya, it's not for the faint at heart. One wrong click and everything could just poof. Hours of finding updates for existing extensions or grudgingly go looking for others that are compatible with J1.7 and will do close to what you need.
